Well, actually he turned four two months ago, but it's still big news.
How is my little guy four years old? FOUR! I don't understand where the time has gone. Jaisal is such a person now. We have conversations (though I can't always understand all of it all the time).
He can dress and undress himself.
He can spell and write a few words and sight read others.
He has opinions about music and food and knows all the lyrics to real songs, not just kid songs.
He tells us stories and is interested and inquiring about the world at large.
He makes friends and plays with other kids. Parallel play days are history.
He is still our snuggly little guy though, who loves trains and trucks and watching his favorite show, Paw Patrol.
We celebrated his birthday with an underwater themed birthday party at an art studio.
