We're two weeks into weaning Jaisal off his prednisolone. We went to Lurie's (the new children's hospital in Chicago) for labs on Thursday. After a very rough start to the morning (everything took about 3 times longer to accomplish at the new hospital which was extremely frustrating), we got great news in the afternoon - Jaisal's labs are holding steady with the steroid reduction, even though he has a cold. We were so happy and so relieved!
We're going to wean the steroids even further, with more labs and clinic in two weeks to see how he's doing. More good thoughts for the little man and Sir Oliver please. This is a really big step for him and we hope that it continues to go smoothly.
