Jaisal's school does a multi-cultural celebration each year in December. We decided to have Jaisal participate in the Diwali portion of the evening, which included a Bollywood-style dance.
Practices were for one hour, once a week, for five weeks to prepare a group of kids from ages 3-12 to perform a 2 minute dance. It was a riot, but Jaisal seemed to get the concepts and the steps if they were being shown to him.
I was really excited about how this was going to turn out. Then we had dress rehearsal. All the practices were held in the dance studio, while dress rehearsal was on the stage in the little theater. Little man did not like the change of venue. When it was his group's turn to practice on stage, he literally stood on stage. For the whole two minutes. He would look up at the lights. Down at the stage. Out at the audience, but would not complete a single dance move.
I was a little apprehensive at what the actual performance would be like since there'd be more noise and people.
And then this happened...!
Jaisal is on the far left. While I love the whole dance, a few of my favorite parts are as follows:

- His hip slides around 27 seconds and 1:20
- Covertly waiting to my dad at 42 seconds who was watching from the side of the stage
- His MC Hammer moves at 1:35
- Jaisal's sheer joy at getting to jump up and down towards the end of the video, beginning at 2:05
