As you may or may not recall, my brother and Shaili got Jaisal a sweet ride for Christmas. Much to my chagrin, Jaisal showed no interest in wanting to drive the mini Cooper. It might partially be because he was spoiled with other driving toys as gifts and hand me downs. He has a Cars scooter and a John Deere tractor, as well as an assortment of bikes and scooters (I view all of this as a perk of having a kid later than others so that you naturally become a repository of toys that parents don't want to store and don't care to sell).
Well this past weekend, we knew we needed to get him driving the car. Jaisal wanted to drive his scooter but it was blocked by the car. Kirk told Jaisal that he'd need to drive the car out of the way to get the scooter. That seemed to be motivation enough and after a few halting starts he got the hand of the "gas" pedal.
Not more than 3 minutes after Jaisal started driving, Kirk wanted to set up some small obstacles for him to navigate.
Can you tell that we were all totally impressed that he was able to drive so well, so quickly? Also, doesn't he just look like a little badass driving his car?
