We managed to squeeze a lot of Christmas into the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas. First things first - our annual trip to cut down a tree. Jaisal helped pick the winning tree and cut it down.
Next stop was the Garfield Park Conservatory. Except they didn't do their annual holiday decorations this year. Oops! The best holiday picture I could get was Jaisal with the pointsettas. Super festive right? At least he got to enjoy the slide and the fish ponds.
Jaisal was a huge fan of decorating the tree. We lost quite a few ornaments (including some extremely sentimental ones) to his desire to hang ornaments, take them down and rehang them. But, he was so happy to plug in the tree every morning and evening, so we couldn't be too upset.
Little man loved his santa hat and had to wear it whenever possible.
We also made some ninja-bread Christmas cookies. Jaisal loved decorating the cookies, but didn't eat a single one.
We also made salt dough ornaments as Jaisal's gifts to our family. Here's a little video of Jaisal painting the ornaments.
Since nearly everything was for him, we felt like he should have to work a bit to get his presents. :)

The conservatory folly was remedied with a visit to Christkindlmarkt. Last time Jaisal was here was right before he went in for transplant. Our hearts and heads were a little less weighed down with this visit. We enjoyed shopping, eating and of course taking pictures with Grandma.

Here's the finished products Little man rolled, cut, baked, and painted these all on his own. I only helped with some of the tiny detail work and writing the years on the ornament.
Jaisal was ready and waiting for everyone to arrive Christmas morning so that he could open presents.
