Riya continues to gain weight well. Probably because she doesn't really sleep and will only fall asleep for any period of time after being fed. While we haven't had a doctor's appointment recently, I may have rented an infant breastfeeding scale (the same one our pediatrician uses) to monitor Riya's weight at home. As of Sunday, June 14, Riya weighed 8 lbs 8 oz.
In the 5 weeks she's been home, she's gained 3 pounds! That means on average she is gaining 1.37 ounces a day! Little one is a beast who is gaining some fabulously chubby cheeks, starting to get thigh roles, and has lots of chins under which we need to clean. I love to squeeze and kiss all 8.5 lbs of her as much as possible.
So big, yet so small while hanging out with her papa.
