First Year of School

Jaisal just finished his first year of school. School has been so great for him. He's become more independent, engages in a lot more creative play, and has found a good group of friends. (Oh and he's doing phenomenal with his phonics and reading, math skills, and all the other "learning" stuff.)

Here's a last minute pic of Jaisal leaving for his last day.

Here's his first day (just for fun).

Jaisal calls his friends his "crew" and looks forward to playing with them all the time or being silly together as Jaisal says. Here's part of his crew at a birthday party at the Garfield Park Conservatory.

Jaisal's personality continues to develop. He love to pose for pictures. He is still our nuggly guy, but definitely is showing his age. He now kicks us out of his room so that he can sleep by himself. He still loves trains, but loves golfing with dada.  Kirk's also made him into quite the Blackhawks fan.

Jaisal also says some hilarious things. When we didn't know something, Jaisal told us that Google knows everything. The other day he hugged me and told me he will always love me forever. Why? To butter me up so that he could sit in my lap during a meal and I'd feed him (it worked). He'll be doing something we don't want him to do and we'll ask him to stop. Instead, he'll just finish up what he's doing and then tell us, "It's too late now" in a very matter of fact tone. I want to be upset with him but his voice is just so damn cute. The kid is a goof, and we love it.
