Saturday evening we had a nice outdoor dinner at our friend's place in Lincoln Park. Outside their townhouse complex the world was clad entirely in green and clearly had been drinking for hours. Inside, you'd never know it was St. Patrick's Day as none of the parents or kids playing the courtyard were dressed up. I thought it was a very good analogy for pre-kid and post-kid life on a drinking holiday.
Jaisal loved seeing all the kids playing and having some space to roam. Of course, he enjoyed opening and closing the gate the most since hinged objects hold a special fascination for him.
On Sunday we were up early for a blood draw at CMH and then decided to head directly to a park. We had the whole place to ourselves which was great since both Denali and Jaisal could run free. While at the park we got to see plenty of folks doing the walk of shame. It was pretty entertaining to watch from afar and realize again, how times have changed in a few short years.
That evening we drove out to the burbs for dinner at another friend's house (Thanks everyone for feeding us all weekend!) Jaisal had a great time chasing their cats, checking out the "new" toys, staring down the big kids, and playing in the yard. Matt does some professional photography on the side and took some great shots of Jaisal.
