Shelby is a 10-year old girl who was listed for transplant shortly after Jaisal. Well she finally got THE call for a new liver last night and should be going into surgery this afternoon.
Shelby was inpatient when Jaisal was being transplanted and has been on oxygen and bedrest for far too long due to complications from hepatapulmonary syndrome. I am so thrilled for her and her family that her new healthy life begins TODAY!

Also, please keep the donor family in your thoughts. They were amazingly brave and selfless in making the decision to donate their loved ones organs during what must be one of the worst moments of their lives. Thank you for giving Shelby a new life and a chance to resume being a kid!
