"Enjoying" the fall weather.
As soon as his hands touched the grass and he didn't recognize the texture, there were lots of tears.
He made his displeasure with me and the grass known.
A couple weeks ago we removed Jaisal's PICC line (a type of IV that we used to administer antibiotics at home) from his arm. Since then Jaisal has been allowed to have real baths since we no longer have to worry about keeping the PICC site dry. He loves bath time and is really unhappy when it's time to get dressed.
Since Jaisal's diagnosis when he was two months old, we've had to administer quite a few medicines orally. As soon he gained control of his hands, he spent a good amount of time batting away anything that came near his mouth. Because of this, we've never really tried to teach Jaisal to hold his own bottle or try a sippy cup. In the past few weeks, he decided he wanted to hold his own bottle, drink from a sippy cup, drink from a straw, and feed himself with a fork. It's been so much fun (and quite messy) to watch these developments.
Jaisal's love of books continues to grow. He knows which book he wants to read and he loves to crawl into our laps so that we can read to him.
He also likes taking credit cards and banks cards out of Kirk's wallet. One debit card has been lost to mayhem.
And like all good kids born in the last couple of years, Jaisal always wants to play with our cell phones, particularly to swipe at pictures or apps.

Great pictures, and all things I remember well (especially the leaf/texture thing!). You have such an adorable spirited little guy! Thinking good thoughts for you as you await transplant news.
