Inspiration

I spend a fair amount of my time reading websites, articles, abstracts, etc. related to liver transplantation. There is a lot of scary information out there, but equal amounts of positive uplifting stories as well. Today I ran across one related to Chris Klug, who is a snowboarder and three-time Olympian. It turns out that 18 months before he won a bronze medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics, he received a liver transplant. Clearly there are differences between an adult liver transplant recipient and a pediatric one, particularly when the adult is a world-class athlete, but reading about all that Chris has achieved after receiving a transplant gives me so much hope for what could be in store for Jaisal's future.

You can read more about Chris Klug's transplant here http://chrisklug.com/transplant.html.
