April is National Donate Life Month. Jaisal was lucky enough to get his second chance at life from his hero Scott. Not everyone has the option to receive a living donation.
- Presently there are over 117,000 people waiting for an organ in just the United States.
- 18 people will die each day while waiting for an organ to become available.
- 1 donor can save up to 8 lives.
Becoming an organ donor involves two simple steps:
1. Register in your state at this link. There are similar organizations in nearly every country.
2. Make sure your loved ones know that you want to be an organ donor. They'll be the ones that work with the doctors to make sure you get the chance to recycle yourself.
