Little man and I had the rare opportunity to go tour the set of Sesame Street in New York. Jaisal was super excited to see them film a scene with Cookie Monster. He wasn't nearly as excited for this picture,
but perked up a bit when he was in Mr. Hooper's store. His favorite thing was checking out Big Bird's nest and he got painfully shy when Abby said hi to him.
After our tour we took the subway into Midtown. What should have been an easy trek ended up in chaos. The express train didn't seem to be running though there were no announcements on the platform or on the MTA website to inform me of that fact. We then hopped another train and luckily caught the only connection to our stop. We learned while on the train that it was the only one that had run in quite some time. Then when we got to our station, the escalator wasn't running. Not realizing how much deeper the subway is than the el, Jaisal and I started walking up with me carrying all of our luggage. About halfway up, I was winded (being 20+ weeks pregnant and all). Some very nice New Yorkers relieved me of most of my bags and I finally made it up to the top, where Jaisal was patiently waiting.
After that we had a fabulous weekend seeing family and friends, the sights, and eating to our hearts' content, including a visit, via Times Square, to see the Gazillion Bubble Show. We had front row center seats and Jaisal loved to see all the bubble tricks and pop the thousands and thousands of bubbles that were blown directly at us. The show may have over shadowed Sesame Street.
