I just made arrangements with the organ procurement person to take pictures of Kirk's segmented liver that will be transplanted into Jaisal and pictures of Jaisal's unhealthy liver after it is removed. I can't say that even in my most far-fetched visions of what I might do in my lifetime did it ever cross my mind that I would one day ask someone to take pictures of two family member's organs. Yet here I am having asked and excited to see the new healthy piece of liver that will go into Jaial.
Consider yourself forewarned that I'll likely post these pictures in the future, and be prepared to skip a blog entry if you're squeamish.
