Starved Rock State Park

We took advantage of the amazing weather and headed down to Starved Rock State Park to do a little bit of exploring. We had wonderful company with Neal, Laila, and Marley.

Although the rocks and canyons were gorgeous, Kirk was severely disappointed that all the rock was sandstone and therefore unclimbable.

We had a nice little picnic lunch with a view of "the" starved rock (or so we overheard).

Although Jaisal isn't walking yet, he attempts to climb everything, like this fence.

It's always a good sign that Jaisal enjoyed the day when he falls asleep in the carrier.
