We got the official word yesterday evening, Kirk is a match!!!!!!!!!!!! The news came offhandly from Jaisal's surgeon, despite calls all day to NMH to get an answer. At the end of the day, don't care how we heard it, but just super relieved that Jaisal has a liver.
No date is set yet for the transplant. We're hoping we might get some idea about it today. It's all up to NMH as to when they can get Kirk in; CMH is super flexible and even said they'd do it tomorrow. Not holding my breath that NMH is able to make any decisions or get anything done in a day, but as soon as we know when this is going down, I will update all of you.
