I'm not sure if we weaned Jaisal's breathing support too soon or if there is a new complication, but we had to put the mask back on Jaisal tonight. His heart rate and breathing rate were way too fast.
Hopefully we'll get some answers or explore some theories tomorrow during rounds, since the only inept fellow in the PICU is on tonight. Weekends and holidays in the hospital suck; staffing gets very lean. I'm thinking a weekend holiday has got to be even worse.
