Waiting for the moment...

that we finally turn a corner. For every positive step, we continue to see some backsliding on another. Jaisal's respiratory status became problematic overnight, with diminished lung capacity on his right side. After much fighting with Jaisal, we got him fitted with a cpap mask. We're hoping the pressure from the mask will reinflate his lung. After that we are going to aggressively change his position, since motion and being upright will prevent mucous from settling and also will strengthen his diaphragm to allow him to cough up the mucous. Unfortunately little man is so weak that he requires nearly full support to even be in a sitting position. It's pretty devastating to see our active strong little man be such a shadow of himself.

If you're so inclined, please cash in all your favors so that today can be the day that we move past the respiratory issues and start on  the path to getting our little boy back.
